Resilient supply chain solution: Bureau Veritas Group completes Supply-R pilot with Shell

Supply-R, a risk management solution for monitoring supply chains, was developed and launched by Bureau Veritas in 2020. It is a digital platform that helps to improve the responsiveness and reliability of supply chains.

Together with Shell, the Bureau Veritas Group's first Supply-R project has now been successfully completed. The pilot phase was designed to gradually roll out the solution, customise it and develop dashboards that are helpful for both operational teams and senior management.

They need to build and implement new processes that can fix past problems and position their organizations to operate smoothly in the future. CREATION OF AN INDIVIDUAL RISK PROFILE

Bureau Veritas conducted several independent on-site audits in international factories for several product lines that are supplied to Shell as part of the project. The outcome of the pilot was a risk index and an online dashboard that visualises the risk profiles of individual suppliers and presents an overall assessment against a resilience index. This allowed Shell to identify areas of optimisation along the supply chain.
