Consignment Based Conformity Assessment (CBCA)

YOUR KEY TO SAFE AND COMPLIANT IMPORTS IN INTERNATIONAL TRADE

Global trade is growing rapidly – but with this dynamic growth, the requirements for product safety, consumer protection, and environmental standards are also increasing. To minimize risks and ensure quality, many countries have introduced mandatory regulations for the import of foreign goods.

A central element of these regulations is conformity assessment, which is often carried out by independent inspection bodies such as Bureau Veritas. The basis for this is the CBCA certification programs.

What does CBCA mean and why is it important?

CBCA stands for Consignment Based Conformity Assessment – an evaluation that ensures goods comply with applicable national or internationally recognized standards before importation.

This process not only protects end consumers but also helps importers and exporters reduce risks, simplify customs procedures, and strengthen the trust of their business partners.
