VDA 6.1

VDA 6.1 is applicable to manufacturers of material products and takes into account the product and process-specific characteristics of the German automotive industry. The basis of VDA 6.1 is ISO 9001: 2000, but extended by industry-specific requirements. Particular emphasis is placed on financial considerations regarding the QM system, employee motivation, product liability and safety as well as a clear implementation of corporate strategies. The requirements for a clear corporate strategy are based on the EFQM model (European Foundation for Quality Management). Volume VDA 6.1 contains a catalogue of questions for evaluating a QM system and the corresponding evaluation system. The validity of 6.1 is still not limited in time.

VDA 6.2

VDA 6.2 is tailored to suppliers of services, such as development offices and forwarding agents, but also to service providers, such as workshops and sales organisations. The requirements of VDA Volume 6.2 are process-oriented and contain elements of Total Quality Management (TQM).

VDA 6.3

Process audits are the link between system and product audits. The quality capability of processes is evaluated by process auditors during the VDA audit. The aim is to maintain and continuously improve capable and controlled processes for the planning and manufacture of products and services throughout the entire product life cycle. Bureau Veritas Certification can carry out process audits in accordance with VDA 6.3 in your company and on your behalf at your supplier's premises as part of supplier management.

VDA 6.4

VDA 6.4 is a regulation that has been developed for suppliers of production equipment in the automotive industry. It represents the consistent expansion of the quality management strategy of the German automotive industry in the direction of mechanical and plant engineering. VDA 6.4 concerns, for example, manufacturers of processing machines, forming tools or measuring parts.

WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF CHOOSING A CERTIFICATION COMPANY APPROVED BY THE KBA?

Bureau Veritas Certification is an auditing and certification body approved by the KBA.
