Verification and validation of greenhouse gas inventory according to ISO 14064-3

TARGET GROUP & PREREQUISITES

The course is intended for professionals who want to become GHG inventories and statements verifiers (1st, 2nd and 3rd party). This course is also intended for professionals who are responsible for designing and maintaining GHG quantification and reporting systems and who want to understand how the verification process works, especially if they want to have their GHG report verified.

It is recommended that this module be combined with other courses:

• Introduction to greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting based on the iso 14060 family
• Quantification of greenhouse gas emissions according to iso 14064
• Calculation of the carbon footprint of products according to iso 14067

OBJECTIVES

The overall objective of this course is to learn how to verify GHG inventory and carbon footprint statements for products and to understand the verification activities that enable verifiers to provide an opinion on these GHG statements.
