Your quality standards make you stand out from the competition

The introduction of a border-free market within the European Community in 1993 also encouraged cross-border crime. Meanwhile the losses caused by transport thefts in Europe are estimated to be at least 30 billion euros annually.

GENERAL INFORMATION ON THE TAPA CERTIFICATION

In 1997, renowned technology companies founded the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) with the aim of developing a global standard specifying minimum security requirements for the entire logistics and transport industry. Security is measured against defined freight security requirements, which define the minimum acceptable security standards and determine methods for maintaining the standard. The TAPA standards include

  • FSR - Facility Security Requirements
  • TSR - Trucking Security Requirements
  • PSR - Parking Security Requirements
  • TACSS - TAPA Air Cargo Security Standards

In order to comply with the ever-growing TAPA requirements, your system will be audited every two years by an external auditor and verified by an independent certification company. The company undertakes to carry out the annual monitoring after the initial/re-certification in the form of a self-assessment in accordance with the TAPA requirements.
