With AquaVentus membership, Bureau Veritas underlines its commitment to sustainability
The AquaVentus association is pursuing a visionary project: Up to 1 million tonnes of green hydrogen are to be produced between Helgoland and Doggerbank from 2035. The initiative is supported by highly innovative organisations and research institutions as well as national and international companies. The project family around the AquaVentus initiative includes numerous projects along the value chain - from the production of hydrogen in the North Sea to its transport to customers on the mainland. These coordinated consortia synchronise demand and production and thus enable a rapid market ramp-up. Currently, the AquaVentus Support Association has 92 members.
Within an energy transition context, compliance with and assurance of sustainable new energy production, storage and distribution is a particular challenge. Bureau Veritas is a key player in the energy transition, present at main stages of the renewable and alternative energy production chain. The AquaVentus-membership is in line with Bureau Veritas` commitment to provide services and solutions dedicated to sustainability, notably in resources and production, through the BV Green Line.
