2025 Global Energy Transition Report

Aug 5 2025

THE NEW GLOBAL ENERGY TRANSITION REPOST IS ONLINE!

In the last twenty years, the energy industry has set a new record every year in renewable energy installation. Yet, we are moving further away from the goal of keeping global temperature increase within 1.5°C. The reason is clear: we must act on a much larger scale.

To accelerate the energy transition, a global enhancement is necessary. Clean energy investments remain concentrated in wealthy countries, leaving behind most of the rest of the world. Rebalancing the situation by unlocking renewable implementation in the Global South is essential if we want to decarbonize global energy systems and achieve the Paris Agreement objectives. The Global South, which hosts two-thirds of the world's population, remains dramatically underdeveloped, currently receiving only 15% of clean energy investments.
