Consumer and commercial electronics manufacturers’ products must not only meet global regulatory requirements in a fast-paced business climate, but they must operate reliably after shipping, storage and installation. Uncovering some of these issues at early stages can save time and money. For years, we have assisted customers in mitigating safety, EMC and Environmental non-compliance issues. This program provides a cursory evaluation and test plan encompassing Safety, EMC and Environmental Testing, including:

Mechanical testing focuses on the mechanical force inputs to a piece of equipment, simulating the effects of everyday wear and tear or operation, as well as stresses induced by impact or shipping shocks and bumps. Climatic testing simulates natural environments to better replicate real life conditions. Examples include ice, water, sand and dust, temperature, altitude, humidity, salt fog, etc.
A test in which the air surrounding the equipment under test is raised and/or lowered to pre-determined levels to identify the effect of temperature extremes on the equipment, which may be operating or non-operating. Temperature extremes and rapid temperature transitions are also used to purposely induce failures to determine weak points or latent defects. For example, can the equipment sufficiently remove internally-generated heat under extreme temperature conditions?
