• Consultancy: Guidance on how to establish a compliance program for your battery products and assistance with the implementation of your program.
• Certification: Visibly identify your battery products as meeting the highest requirements in the industry with the Bureau Veritas Certification Mark. Certification involves testing, assessment and process control. Batteries displaying the Bureau Veritas Certification Mark comply with requirements for restricted substances, IEC/CTIA standards, United Nations (UN) transportation standards, and routine factory inspections.
• Testing: Verify compliance and assess your batteries for the following:
- Safety: Confirm compliance with IEC/CTIA standards such as charge and discharge control including battery and cell capacity testing; cycle life testing; battery construction analysis; temperature cycling; cell crush; puncture; flame testing and specialized charge regime testing (GSM, iDEN, CDMA, TDMA, etc.)
- Hazardous Chemical Analysis/Recycling: Verify that concentrations of restricted substances such as cadmium and mercury do not exceed maximum allowable levels.
